| Obverse description | The obverse features the Royal Arms of Gibraltar rendered in high relief at the center of the field, depicting the quartered shield supported by two lions with a castle below, all within an elaborate heraldic surround. The legend GIBRALTAR arcs across the upper portion of the field, with the date 2023 divided on either side of the central device. The inscription 1/10TH TROY OUNCE appears vertically along the left border and 9999 FINE GOLD along the right border. The denomination 5 POUND is inscribed in bold lettering along the lower rim. The entire design is struck to proof standard on a polished flan. |

| Additional information |
Gibraltar has issued gold bullion coinage under its own authority since 1975, operating independently of the Royal Mint. The Lady Justice series has run across multiple formats and weights, with the "no stars" variant distinguished from otherwise identical strikes by the absence of star devices in the field — a detail that matters to type collectors assembling complete sets of the series but is easy to overlook in catalog photos taken at unfavorable angles.
