Reverse description Central field features an ornate circular cartouche bearing the Arabic inscription 'المملكة المصرية' (Kingdom of Egypt) in elaborate calligraphic script, enclosed within a raised circular border. The dual dates 1357 AH and 1938 AD appear below the cartouche inscription. Surrounding the central cartouche is a richly decorated arabesque framework of interlocking floral and foliate scrollwork with stylised rosette motifs at regular intervals. The denomination 'خمسة جنيهات' (Five Pounds) is inscribed in Arabic at the top of the field, with a fine beaded border encircling the entire reverse.
