| Additional information |
Issued to mark the Queen Mother's 99th birthday in 1999, this piece is one of several Guernsey crown-sized issues produced during the late 1990s commemorating milestones in her remarkably long life. She would live another three years, to 101. Guernsey, like Jersey and the Isle of Man, operated a productive commemorative coin program throughout this period, supplying collector market demand that the Royal Mint rarely addressed with the same frequency.
