(Translation: Elizabeth the Second by the Grace of God Queen Defender of the Faith)
Reverse description The reverse, designed by John Bergdahl, presents an elaborate baroque-style cartouche framing the commemorative inscription. At the centre of the cartouche, rendered in mixed serif and script lettering, the legend reads: To celebrate the Christening of PRINCE GEORGE of CAMBRIDGE 2013. Two winged cherubs, each carrying a book or scroll, flank the cartouche on either side, while floral sprays of roses and thistles adorn the outer edges. A royal crown surmounts the entire composition at the top of the design. The motto DIEU ET·MON DROIT is inscribed on a ribbon banner along the lower portion of the design, with the engraver's initials JB visible in the lower left field.
