Additional information

Issued to mark Prince William's 21st birthday in June 2003, this Alderney piece is one of dozens of commemorative crowns produced by the Bailiwick during the 1990s and 2000s under licensing arrangements that allowed the dependency to issue its own coinage distinct from Guernsey's. The coins hold legal tender status on Alderney but were never intended for circulation — the entire mintage was absorbed by the collector market on issue.
