| Obverse description | The fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Jody Clark, occupies the centre of the obverse, depicting the monarch in right-facing profile bust wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl drop earring. The portrait is rendered with fine sculptural detail characteristic of Clark's 2015 design. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II·D·G·REG·F·D·5 POUNDS·2018, disposed continuously around the periphery, with the engraver's initials J.C. incuse below the truncation of the bust. |
