Additional information

Jersey's 2010 five-pound issues were produced under the authority of the States of Jersey, which has managed its own currency independently of the United Kingdom since the 19th century. Mike Crossley's effigy of Elizabeth II — the fourth definitive portrait used on Jersey coinage — was adopted across the Channel Islands following the transition away from the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait for commemorative issues, though Rank-Broadley remained standard on circulation coinage.
