| Reverse description | Central depiction of the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior set within a gothic abbey interior, flanked by tall ceremonial candlesticks and with a robed figure visible in the arched recess above. The legend FIVE POUNDS arcs along the upper border of the poppy-shaped flan. A colour-applied red poppy with black centre is affixed at the base of the tomb's stone sarcophagus, serving as a memorial symbol. The commemorative dates and organisation name appear along the lower arc of the field in the inscription 1921 · ROYAL BRITISH LEGION · 2011, marking the 90th anniversary of the Legion's founding. |
