Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, as rendered in Raphael David Maklouf's third definitive coinage portrait. The Queen is depicted in a draped bust style, with the diadem prominently featuring pearls and crosses. The sovereign's title legend encircles the effigy, with the denomination also inscribed. The portrait is set within a plain field with no inner border, characteristic of the Maklouf design used from 1985.
