| Obverse lettering | EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP: |
| Reverse description | The reverse displays Benedetto Pistrucci's celebrated design of Saint George, helmeted and in armour, mounted on a rearing horse and slaying the dragon with a broken lance, the dragon prostrate beneath the horse's hooves. The mintmark 'S' for the Sydney Mint appears on the ground line to the left of centre, with Pistrucci's monogram 'B.P.' visible to the lower right of the design. The date 1902 is inscribed in large numerals beneath the central device in the exergual area, and the entire composition is contained within a plain field bordered by a uniform milled rim. |
