This piece continues the Royal Mint's long-running commemorative program for Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, whose centenary in 2000 prompted an initial wave of issues that has since extended across multiple monarchs. She remains one of very few figures to appear on British commemoratives under three separate sovereigns — Elizabeth II, and now Charles III — a span that reflects both her unusual longevity and her enduring institutional importance to the House of Windsor. Born in 1900, she died in 2002 at 101.
