| Reverse description | The reverse, designed by John Bergdahl, features two portrait effigies of Queen Elizabeth II at different stages of her life set within overlapping diamond-shaped lozenges adorned with ornate acanthus scrollwork. The younger portrait appears to the left and the elder to the right, both depicted in three-quarter facing busts wearing the Crown and pearl necklace. A royal crown surmounts the central lozenge intersection at the top of the design, while the royal cypher EIIR is prominently displayed in the lower central field. The legend ELIZABETH REGINA arcs along the upper periphery, with the dates 1926 - 2022 inscribed in the lower exergue, commemorating the life of Her Majesty. |
