Pitcairn Islands issues currency through a licensing arrangement — the territory has no functioning retail economy and no circulating coinage — making every piece here a deliberate collectible from the outset. This particular issue commemorates the January 2023 incident in which a man attacked King Charles III with eggs during a visit to York, one of the few such security breaches during his early reign.
