| Reverse description | The reverse centers on a large crowned Tudor Rose rendered in fine detail, framed by a curving stem with naturalistic leaves. Flanking the central motif are the royal cyphers of King Charles III (CIIIR, to the left) and Queen Consort Camilla (CR, to the right), symbolizing the joint reign. A circumferential inscription commemorates the five-hundredth anniversary of the gold crown coinage, with the commemorative date range arched across the lower field. The composition is formally balanced and executed in the classical heraldic tradition befitting a proof commemorative issue. |

| Additional information |
The Tudor Crown — the physical object, not the coin denomination — was commissioned by Henry VIII and first worn at his 1531 meeting with Francis I near Calais. It remained in active ceremonial use until the Interregnum, when Parliament ordered the medieval regalia melted down in 1649. What exists today as the Imperial State Crown is a 19th-century reconstruction, meaning the 500-year lineage being marked here traces an object that technically ceased to exist mid-sequence and was reinvented wholesale under Victoria.
