Reverse description The reverse presents a bold left-facing bust of the celebrated Egyptian sculptor Mahmoud Mukhtar, depicted wearing his characteristic beret and with a short beard, rendered in high sculptural relief befitting the commemorative subject. A sculptor's chisel or modelling tool is visible at the lower right of the truncation, referencing his craft. To the left of the portrait, a vertical column of Arabic calligraphic legend occupies the field. The portrait is framed by the same decorative dash-and-tick border as the obverse, unifying the coin's design. The composition is naturalistic and medallic in character.
