St. Helena's polymer series reflects the island's shift away from paper substrate — a transition completed in stages, with this denomination among the later additions. The island's extreme remoteness and small population (under 5,000) mean print runs are genuinely tiny by any commercial standard, with De La Rue typically handling production for the territory.
P#14 is current-issue as of cataloging. Circulation figures for St. Helena notes are rarely published, and a meaningful portion of each print run is absorbed by collectors before reaching the island's limited banking network.
