| Obverse description | Central field features the Sudanese national emblem: a secretary bird with wings displayed, supporting a shield on its breast, flanked by two flags and surmounted by a scroll bearing Arabic inscription. To the upper left and right of the emblem, large Arabic numerals and calligraphic text denote the denomination and commemorative theme. Below the emblem, the denomination appears as '5' in Latin numerals to the right and Arabic-Indic numeral to the left, with 'Ls. 5' inscribed in Latin script.
