Reverse description The large numeral 5 dominates the central field in bold raised relief, denoting the token's face value of five Pfennig. The legend WERT-MARKE curves along the upper left periphery in incuse lettering. The border is decorated with a continuous scalloped or lunette ornamental pattern, giving the reverse a more decorative character than the obverse. The overall design is plain and functional, consistent with wartime canteen token production.
