The circular legend reads WILHELM GEVEKOHT flanked by two six-pointed stars above NÜRNBERG, surrounding a central inner beaded circle within which the large numeral 5 is prominently displayed in the field. The design is entirely typographic with no figurative elements. |

The overall design is austere and functional, consistent with wartime emergency coinage production. |
