Obverse description Octagonal zinc notgeld token with a plain field at center bearing the issuer's name in two lines: CARL / ZINN, rendered in bold raised serif capital letters. Surrounding this central legend, the circular inscription KUNSTMÜHLE arcs across the upper portion of the field, while NEUMARKT curves along the lower portion, the two separated by small five-pointed star ornaments at either side. A continuous beaded border follows the inner perimeter of all eight sides, framing the inscriptions against the flat, unadorned field. A small decorative device consisting of two arrow-like elements flanking a central dot appears between the central name legend and the lower arc of NEUMARKT. The overall design is typographic in character, consistent with German Notgeld emergency coinage of the early 1920s.
