| Obverse description | Central field displays a rampant lion facing left within a beaded inner circle, rendered in the crude hammered style typical of minor German territorial coinage of the mid-seventeenth century. The lion's mane and forepaws are boldly struck, with visible surface irregularities characteristic of hand-struck copper issues. Surrounding the inner circle, the legend RHEDA appears segmented around the periphery together with the date of issue. The overall fabric is irregular and slightly off-centre, consistent with hammered production methods of the period. |

| Reverse description | Central field features a large Roman numeral V, denoting the denomination of five Pfennig, set within a beaded inner circle and flanked by symmetrical foliate or scroll ornaments. A small decorative element, possibly a fleur or star motif, appears above the numeral. The outer border is adorned with a ring of alternating rosette or quatrefoil punches and pellets, creating an ornamental collar typical of minor German copper coinage of the seventeenth century. The overall design is simple yet intentional, emphasizing the denominational numeral as the primary device. |
