| Obverse description | Central field features a detailed depiction of a public monument set before a multi-storey civic building, the statue rendered on a stepped pedestal. The design is enclosed within a raised beaded inner circle. The circular legend around the periphery reads KREISVERWALTUNG at the top and METTMANN at the bottom, each separated by a small cross ornament serving as a stop. The overall style is consistent with German Notgeld emergency coinage of the First World War period. |
