| Obverse description | Within a plain raised rim, the large decorative numeral '5' occupies the central field, rendered in an ornate Gothic style with scrolled serifs. Encircling the denomination, a peripheral legend in capital Latin letters reads 'BEZIRKSAMT' at the top and 'LAVFEN' at the bottom, separated by raised pellet stops. The overall design is bold and uncluttered, characteristic of Karl Goetz's wartime notgeld work. |
