| Obverse description | Plain cream paper with a letterpress-printed text field enclosed within a continuous border of interlocked cross-circle ornaments. The heading reads 'Notgeldschein.' in bold Gothic type, followed by the denomination '5 Pf.-Gold = 1/84 Dollar' in large display lettering, with the equivalent dollar value stated as authorised by the Reichsminister der Finanzen. At lower left, a circular embossed municipal seal of the Magistrat zu Landsberg is present alongside an orange validation stamp, beneath which two manuscript signatures appear above the printed titles 'Oberbürgermeister' and 'Bürgermeister'; the left margin carries the denomination vertically in bold italics. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is dominated by a centrally placed woodcut-style vignette of an ouroboros — a serpent biting its own tail — forming a circular frame enclosing the denomination '5 Pf.' in bold Gothic numerals. Flanking the upper arc of the serpent ring are two symmetrical decorative foliate or floral spray motifs rendered in a bold Art Nouveau graphic style. The surrounding paper is plain, with faint offset ghosting of the obverse text visible through the thin stock. |
