| Obverse description | Red-brown note with a green guilloche border and corner numeral "5" cartouches at each angle. The field carries a repetitive underprint of "5 PFENNIG" in brown, over which the large denomination numeral "5" is printed in green at centre, overlaid by the word "PFENNIG" in bold brown letterpress. The issuer inscription "LAND BADEN 1947" runs across the top, a serial number is placed below, and a three-line statutory redemption clause in brown letterpress occupies the foot of the note. |
