Additional information

Part of Cuba's long-running series celebrating classical antiquities, this miniature gold issue was produced by the Casa de la Moneda during a period when the Cuban government was aggressively expanding its numismatic export program as a hard-currency revenue stream — coins sold abroad for foreign exchange while the domestic economy remained dollarized under a dual-currency system.
