Obverse description Black letterpress on blue and light-red underprint, with the serial number printed in blue at upper right. The denomination numeral "5" appears at left alongside the word "Pesos", framed by ornamental guilloche scrollwork. The body of the note carries the principal legend in two registers, flanked by small floral vignettes, with three manuscript signatures below their respective title lines and the decree date inscribed in script.
Obverse lettering República de Nicaragua VALE POR CINCO PESOS QUE EL TESORO NACIONAL RECIBIRÁ EN CALIDAD DE MONEDA DE CURSO LEGAL. Decreto del 3 de Marzo de 1910.

Reverse description Red underprint composed of a dense, all-over repeated-text pattern bearing the denomination "Cinco Pesos" in alternating orientations across the entire field, bordered by a geometric guilloche frame. A central rectangular panel contains the denomination "CINCO PESOS" in bold capitals on both left and right sections, divided by a circular official validation stamp bearing the Coat of Arms of Nicaragua and the inscription "MANAGUA" at base.
