| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of El Salvador is displayed centrally, featuring a triangular shield surrounded by five volcanic peaks rising above the sea, surmounted by a radiant liberty cap, and flanked by five national flags. The shield is encircled by a wreath of laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon, and two crossed cannons appear beneath.
