| Reverse description | The aluminium bronze centre presents a facing bust of Nicolás Bravo, the Mexican independence hero and military commander, in civilian attire with a high collar and cravat, rendered in moderate relief. To the left of the bust appears the mint mark Mo with the date 2009 beneath it; to the right, the denomination $5 is prominently displayed. The name NICOLÁS BRAVO is inscribed in the lower portion of the centre field. The stainless steel ring carries the commemorative legend BICENTENARIO DE LA INDEPENDENCIA along the upper arc and MÉXICO 2010 along the lower arc, with small ornamental dots separating the inscriptions. |
