Obverse description The numeral '5' in large relief dominates the center of the coin, flanked symmetrically by two upward-curving wheat stalks forming a wreath-like frame. Below the numeral, the word 'PESOS' is inscribed in the field, with the mint mark 'B' appearing just beneath. The date '1968' is placed in the lower exergue area. The circular legend 'XXXIX CONGRESO EUCARISTICO INTERNACIONAL' arcs along the upper periphery, while 'BOGOTA' is inscribed along the lower periphery within the border. The overall design is rendered in low relief against a smooth field.
