| Obverse description | Printed in black letterpress on plain paper, the face carries the title 'Treasury Emergency Currency Certificate' at the top within a decorative guilloche border running along all four edges, with the series designation 'SERIES OF 1944' at left and the denomination 'FIVE PESOS' in large bold capitals at centre.
