(Translation: Provisional Government of Mexico, Veracruz, December 1st, 1914. The treasury will receive and pay this bill in accordance with the decree of 19 September 1914.)
Reverse description Printed entirely in green with intricate guilloche latticework filling the field, punctuated by denomination numeral '5' counters in each corner. A central oval medallion frames the vignette of a 1 Peso 'Un Peso' silver coin of the Mexican Republic (dated 1903), shown reverse-over-obverse. Flanking inscriptions appear in two rectangular panels to the left and right of the central medallion. A circular red 'Secretaria de Hacienda – Veracruz' official control stamp is applied at upper left.
