| Reverse description | Multicolour intaglio and letterpress on an elaborate polychrome guilloche background of interlocking rosette and lathe-work patterns in green, orange, blue, and purple. The Paraguayan coat of arms — a central star within a wreath of palm and olive branches, surrounded by a radiant sun — is set within a circular blue guilloche medallion at centre, encircled by the inscription 'REPÚBLICA DEL PARAGUAY'. Large numeral '5' denominators appear in oval cartouches to the left and right, with smaller '5' counters at their flanks. The printer's imprint 'AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY NEW YORK' appears in the lower margin. |
