| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark grey-black ink and carries the bank name EL BANCO DE SAN JUAN in an arc across a central oval vignette containing a classical female allegory in neoclassical style. To the left of the central vignette, a smaller vignette contains a recumbent bull over a landscape, accompanied by the handwritten promise text and the printed legend CINCO PESOS EN MONEDA. The note bears the place name TUCUMAN at the top, the series designation Serie D., serial number Nº 001041 at upper right, and FUERTES at the right margin, with CINCO PESOS FUERTES in a letterpress panel at the lower centre. |
