| Obverse description | The aluminium-bronze centre features the Mexican national arms in high relief: an eagle displayed facing left, perched upon a prickly-pear cactus growing from a rock in a lake, devouring a serpent clutched in its beak and talons. The stainless-steel ring bears the legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS arcing along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, with stylised laurel and oak branch motifs decorating the lower portion of the ring. |
