Obverse description	The stainless steel centre features the large numeral '5' to the left of field, flanked to the right by the national coat of arms of the Dominican Republic, depicting a shield supported by a laurel branch and a palm frond, surmounted by a ribbon inscribed 'DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAD' and a scroll below bearing 'REPUBLICA DOMINICANA'. The denomination legend 'PESOS DOMINICANOS' appears in two lines beneath the central devices, with the date flanked by pellets positioned in the lower portion of the aluminium bronze outer ring. The country name 'REPUBLICA DOMINICANA' is inscribed along the upper arc of the outer ring.
