Part of Cuba's long-running "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" gold series, this miniature piece belongs to a collectibles program the Cuban state used extensively in the 1990s and 2000s to generate hard currency — dollars and euros — from foreign collectors while the domestic economy ran on the peso convertible system. The coins were never intended for internal circulation.
