| Reverse description | The reverse features a finely detailed relief of a Bee Hummingbird (Mellisuga helenae, locally known as Zunzuncito), the world's smallest bird, depicted in mid-flight with wings raised and long bill prominent, approaching a spray of tubular blossoms and slender stems rendered against a deeply mirrored proof field. The species name Zunzuncito is inscribed in a distinctive cursive script along the upper border. A border of six-pointed stars frames the inner design, and the lower periphery bears the inscriptions 1/20 ONZA at the left, the date 1999 centred at the base, and AU 0.999 at the right, all separated by raised dots. |
