| Obverse description | Emergency Treasury Certificate issued by the Commonwealth of the Philippines, Province of Ilocos Norte, dated June 15, 1942. The centre carries a large overprinted denomination numeral '5.0' in violet-purple ink, above which typewritten text certifies the authorisation of issuance by the President of the Philippines and its redeemability after the war. Three signature lines appear at the foot, attributed to the Provincial Treasurer, Provincial Auditor, and Governor, with the inscription 'SEVENTH SERIES' and 'FIVE PESOS' at the lower margin. |
