The Guatemalan national coat of arms occupies the central medallion, flanked by the large numeral 5 on both left and right. Ornate lathe-work borders frame the entire design, with the bank name and place of issue inscribed at top and bottom respectively, and the printer's imprint of Waterlow & Sons Limited, London at the foot. |
