Obverse description A portrait-format government obligation in letterpress and manuscript, with ornate floral and scroll vignettes framing the left and right margins. At centre top, the circular seal of the Republic of Honduras — an all-seeing eye within a triangle above radiating rays, encircled by the legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS LIBRE SOBERANA E INDEPENDIENTE — is struck in black alongside a rectangular government revenue stamp impression. Below, handwritten manuscript text records the authorising decree of 2 March and the five-peso loan obligation, with three manuscript signatures at the foot attributed to El Contador, El Tesorero General, and El Intendente, accompanied by a black wax seal remnant.
