Barcelona's Casa de la Moneda — the old mint on Carrer de la Seca in the Born quarter, operational from 1585 until the late nineteenth century — issued this piece as part of its museum programming after the building's conversion into a cultural site. It replicates the 5 pesetas coinage of the Bourbon Restoration period. No monetary status was ever intended.
