Reverse description The personal coat of arms of King Juan Carlos I is prominently displayed in the center of the field, surmounted by the royal crown. The quartered shield incorporates the traditional arms of Castile, León, Aragon, and Navarre, with Granada in base and a central escutcheon bearing the fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty. The shield is flanked by the Pillars of Hercules entwined with decorative mantling and a laurel-and-oak garland at the base. The denomination 5 is inscribed to the left of the arms and PTAS to the right, with the two-digit mint year appearing on a six-pointed star at the lower left, serving as the date indicator for each annual issue.
