| Obverse description | Central right vignette presents an intaglio portrait of Count István Széchenyi (1791–1860), the Hungarian statesman and reformer, set within an oval frame with fine guilloche border work. The denomination numeral '5' appears in large letterpress at upper left alongside the Hungarian coat of arms, with the issuer inscription MAGYAR NEMZETI BANK across the centre and the date BUDAPEST, 1928.
