| Additional information |
The Isle of Man's practice of rotating commemorative reverses on circulating decimal coinage was unusual enough in the 1990s to draw collector attention, but the golf motif here is locally grounded — the island has hosted significant amateur and professional events, and Castletown Golf Links, laid out in 1892, is among the oldest courses in the British Isles still in regular play. The KM#902.2 designation distinguishes this from the .1 variant, the difference residing in the portrait or edge detail rather than the reverse type.
