| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a dense, multi-line Arabic legend in flowing script, presenting the sultan's tughra-style inscription identifying Mehmed IV as ruler. The calligraphic text fills the flan in a characteristic Ottoman hammered style, with interlocking strokes rendered in high relief. A beaded or rope inner border runs along the coin's periphery, framing the inscription. The irregular flan edges are typical of hand-struck Ottoman provincial coinage of the mid-17th century. |

| Reverse description | The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged within a curved cartouche or panel format, with parallel horizontal lines of text in raised relief. The regnal year 1059 AH (١٠٥٩) appears prominently in the lower portion of the field, rendered in Eastern Arabic numerals. A dotted inner border encircles the design, and additional Arabic lettering appears at the upper margin, likely identifying the mint or denomination. The overall composition is consistent with Ottoman provincial beshlik coinage struck at Tripoli. |
