| Reverse description | The reverse field displays a two-line Arabic inscription in naskh script, reading the regnal year and mint name, with the Hegira date ١٢٥٥ (1255 AH) prominently placed in the lower register. Above the inscription appears the Arabic numeral ٧ (7), denoting the regnal year of Sultan Abdulmecid I's reign. The field is adorned with four decorative floral sprays — rose buds with leafy stems — distributed symmetrically in the four quadrants of the field, along with small star or rosette ornaments at the cardinal points. The whole design is enclosed within a finely denticulated inner border, consistent with the obverse treatment. |
