Obverse lettering NORGE
(Translation: NORWAY)
Reverse description The large numeral '5' dominates the upper field, rendered in a bold serif typeface with a distinctive curled finial. Below it, the denomination ØRE is inscribed in capital letters, with the date appearing beneath in two parts separated by a small ornamental device. Three triquetra (trefoil knot) ornaments are symmetrically arranged around the field — one in the lower centre and one each in the upper left and upper right — imparting a distinctly Norse decorative character to the design.
