| Reverse description | A sinuous dragon in low relief occupies the central field, depicted in the traditional Chinese style with scaled body, clawed feet, and flowing tail, encircling a prominent lotus flower at the centre. The dragon and flower motif are enclosed within a beaded inner circle. Beyond this, a wide decorative border of scrolling floral and vine ornaments fills the outer ring, separated from the central device by a raised plain band, giving the reverse an elaborate, ornamental appearance characteristic of Sinkiang provincial coinage of the late Qing period. |
