Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of Kaiser Wilhelm II facing right, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and distinctive upturned moustache. The truncation of the neck is cleanly cut. The circumferential legend reads WILHELM II DEUTSCHER KAISER KÖNIG V. PREUSSEN, running from lower left to lower right along the inner border of a beaded rim. The mint mark A appears at the base of the design, below the portrait, identifying the Berlin Mint.
